Discovering Royston William Langdon: The Voice Behind Spacehog's Success

Royston William Langdon is a British musician currently affiliated with the alternative rock band Spacehog. He is their lead singer and bassist, captivating audiences with his unique vocal style and energetic performances. His journey in music began at a young age when he started singing in the local church choir, which laid the foundation for his later endeavors in the music industry.

In 1994, Royston joined a band formed by his brother in New York. This pivotal moment set the stage for his career, leading to the release of their debut album ‘Resident Alien’ just a year later through Sire Records. The album was a massive success, particularly with the breakout hit ‘In the Meantime’, which became an anthem for youth in that era.

Following this success, the band continued to evolve, producing two more albums: ‘The Chinese Album’ in 1998 and ‘The Hogyssey’ in 2001. However, after the group's split in 2002, Royston, alongside his brothers Anthony and Christian, and Jonny Cragg, formed a new group called Arckid in 2005. Despite being active for three years and releasing several singles, the magic of Spacehog was undeniable, leading to their reunion in 2008. The band's most recent album, ‘As It Is on Earth’, was released in 2013, marking a significant return to the music scene.
